Originally announced for development nearly four years ago , DreamWorks is moving forward with plans to bring Scholastic's cross-media franchise, The 39 Clues to the big screen. Deadline reports that the studio is negotiating with Real Steel director Shawn Levy to direct with a screenplay by Jeff Nathanson. Levy would replace the previously announced Brett Ratner.
