According to Deadline , actor Anthony Mackie may be joining Brad ( The Lincoln Lawyer ) Furman's Runner Runner , a drama about offshore online gaming for New Regency that already stars Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck.
Written by David Levien and Brian Koppelman ( Rounders ) and produced by Appian Way, the film is about the tense relationship between the man who starts the offshore gaming business and his prot�g�. The movie is scheduled to begin production next month.
Mackie, who starred in last year's The Adjustment Bureau and the Oscar-winning war drama The Hurt Locker , can be seen later this year in Timur Bekmambetov's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Ruben Fleischer's Gangster Squad , is currently filming Michael Bay's Pain and Gain .
