Alan Rickman is set to star in Randall Miller's CBGB , Variety reports. He'll play Hilly Kristal who, for more than three decades, owned and operated the famous New York nightclub until a rent dispute forced the establishment to close in 2006. The real-life Kristal tragically died the following year.
Rickman, who last appeared on the big screen in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 , previously worked with Miller in 2008's Bottle Shock .
Miller will again direct with a script written by himself and Jody Savin. The current plan is to begin production next month.
